FC Parking Overview

In 2018, FC Health implemented valet services for the VA Central California Healthcare System in Fresno, CA, addressing a critical parking shortage that had become a significant challenge for veterans and visitors. The parking issue was so severe that it had been highlighted by local news outlets multiple times. Veterans often faced frustration and were forced to abandon their search for parking, resulting in missed appointments and a negative overall experience.

Parking Logistics Solutions

After conducting a comprehensive parking logistics analysis in collaboration with VA leadership, FC Health developed and implemented a detailed action plan to alleviate the parking crisis and improve the overall experience for veterans and guests. Key elements of the solution included:

Valet Parking Program: Introducing valet services to optimize available parking and enhance convenience.

Traffic Flow Optimization: Redirecting traffic flow to improve circulation and ease congestion.

Designated Shuttle Stop: Adding a shuttle stop to streamline transportation across the campus, improving access to different parts of the property.

Reallocation of Self-Park Spaces: Adjusting self-parking areas to make better use of the available space.

Relocation of Employee Parking: Moving employee parking to underutilized areas to free up space for patient and visitor parking. 38% Increase in Valet Lot Capacity: Expanding the valet parking lot to maximize the use of available space, adding more spots and improving overall capacity.
